Tommy was taken in by my next door neighbour, with his sister Claire. Soon enough though, Tommy became my cat and Claire my mothers. They were a great twosome, when they wanted to come in Claire would encourage Tommy to swing on the doorhandle until it opened!! lol Tommy was most definitely the soppiest cat I've known, you could do absolutely anything with him, and he never ever scratched you, all he wanted was cuddles and tummy rubs. I still miss him.
